Estmedica accepts patients with or without a referral from their family doctor. The clinic welcomes patients for the treatment of various conditions requiring outpatient surgery as well as for diagnostic procedures.

Estmedica provides medical treatment for conditions requiring surgical intervention, including benign tumours, hernias, abdominal pain, leg and foot pain, joint pain, trauma, skin abscesses, ingrown nails, post-operative care, wound care, proctology, phlebology (varicose veins), foot deformities, joint blocks or hormonal injections and other injections.

Estmedica accepts patients with or without a referral from their family doctor. During the first consultation, your doctor makes a diagnosis based on the symptoms you are experiencing and prescribes additional examinations and tests, if these are indicated. If necessary, you will be asked to come in for a repeat consultation to discuss your examination and tests results and adjust your treatment plan, where required.

For the attending doctor to be able to make a diagnosis of varicose veins, the patient first has to undergo an ultrasound. Based on the clinical representation and symptoms experienced, the doctor determines the stage of the disorder (using the international CEAP classification) and prepares an individual treatment plan for the patient.

During the first consultation, the attending doctor records the patient’s complaints and the patient undergoes an anoscopy, which is used to diagnose the majority of anal disorders, such as internal and external haemorrhoids, anal fissures and certain types of anal fistulae.
